Day 1


Arrive at Durban International Airport.
Met & assisted by tour guide and transferred to a Durban hotel by air- conditioned bus.
Check-in and welcome briefing. Rest of afternoon at leisure. Meet in evening for supper at hotel.

Day 2


Wake-up, meet for breakfast at Hotel. Transfer to Ushaka by bus. Ushaka Marine World is
the 5th largest aquarium in the world by volume of water incorporating fresh and sea water.
The park offers a “virtual tour of the Indian ocean”,a theme park and much more. The divers
will be doing a “check out” dive in the aquarium. All meet at 6:00pm for dinner in the
Phantom ship. After supper transfer back to hotel.

Day 3


Early (5:30) wake-up and transfer to Aliwal Shoal, infamous for its raggies and sunken
ships. Kit up and get ready for the first sea dive of the holiday. A buffet breakfast will sort
out the hunger pains and after a short rest we kit up for the second dive of the day. Transfer
back to Durban Hotel, rest of day at leisure. Meet at hotel lobby for Tiger Shark Dive talk
and signup. Dinner at Hotel.

Day 4


Early wake-up and transfer to Aliwal Shoal, for an adrenaline rushing Tiger Shark Dive. We
will have another buffet breakfast overlooking the Indian ocean. Transfer back to Durban
Hotel, rest of day at leisure. Meet at 7:00pm in hotel lobby dinner at local restaurant.

Day 5


Transfer to Gateway - Umhlanga’s premier shopping center for breakfast. We will then set
off deep into Zulu-land to the Kwabhekithunga village, where you will experience first hand
the fascinating rituals, intriguing customs and beliefs that form the circle of Zulu life. Zulu
dinner & entertainment.

Day 6


Breakfast at Zulu camp. Transfer to St Lucia Wetlands Park, a world heritage site, for a
ferry ride on a glass bottom boat, viewing hippos, crocodiles and prolific bird life. Visit the
craft market afterwards and meet for lunch at local restaurant. Transfer back to the Zulu
village after lunch. Afternoon at leisure and dinner at village.

Day 7


Breakfast at Zulu camp. Transfer to Hluhluwe / Umfolozi Game Reserve for a Game drive.
The Big Five - lion, rhino (back & white), elephant, buffalo and leopard - are all to be seen.
Its abundance of wildlife include: Nile crocodile, hippo, white and black rhino, leopard, lion,
cheetah, hyena, elephant, buffalo, blue wildebeest, jackal, giraffe, zebra, waterbuck, nyala,
eland, kudu, impala, duiker, suni, reedbuck, warthog, bushpig, mongoose, baboons,
monkeys and much more. After lunch at the game reserve, we will transfer to Sodwana bay
lodge for our next sleep-over. Supper will be at Sodwana Bay Lodge

Day 8


Wake up early, kit-up and prepare for our first dive. Sodwana reefs are extremely beautiful
with abundant fish life. They are thought to be the Southern most coral reefs in the world
and have a wide diversity of attractions. Breakfast is after the first dive after which we will
get ready for our second dive. Rest of day spent at own leisure on beach.

Day 9


Two more dives planned for today. In the afternoon we will visit Lake Sibaya for
sundowners. Lake Sibaya is the largest freshwater lake in South Africa and is separated
from the sea by high forest covered dunes. After sundowners we will head back to the
Lodge for dinner.

Day 10


One last dive, breakfast and a bit of time on the beach. A late afternoon departure will set
us on our way to the Eastern Transvaal, with a sleep-over at an Ermelo Guest House.

Day 11


After breakfast at the guest house we depart to Pilgrims rest, South Africa’s true and
original gold mining town. On arrival we will check in at the Royal Hotel, spent the rest of

Day 12


A hearty breakfast will set us off on a route exploring the most amazing sceneries and
views Mpumalanga has to offer such as Gods’ Window, Bourkes Luck, Three Rondavels
and much more. After lunch we will start the scenic route back to Gauteng Johannesburg.
Check-in at hotel in Randburg - followed by dinner at Brightwater Commons.

Day 13


After breakfast we visit the Lion Park for a guided game drive. Afterwards we will be visiting
our dive school base, for a traditional South African braai, swim in our one of a kind pool,

· All diving is dependant on weather, and we can not be held responsible for launches cancelled due to
unacceptable diving conditions. This decision is determined by the dive operator and is pre-booked and
non-refundable.
· Diving with a SMB (Surface Marker Buoy) is mandatory for all divers.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

VISAS:
South African passport holders do not require visas for Botswana or Zambia.
Guests traveling on foreign passports will be required to purchase a single (transit) visa on arrival in Zambia.
A visa waiver can be arranged for certain passport holders (EU USA UK) for guests re entry to Zambia after staying
in Botswana. We must have passport details full name, passport number, date of issue and expiry at least 3 days
before your arrival in Zambia. We do not guarantee the visa waiver as this is at the discretion on the Zambian border
officials.

HEALTH:
Victoria Falls is a malaria area with the rainy months (October to April) being the time of greatest incidence.
We recommend the use of Malaria prophylactics please consult your doctor and start your medication before
you arrive in Africa.

INSURANCE:
Please ensure that you have medical, emergency evacuation and repatriation cover as well as full cover for
cancellation, curtailment and baggage cover.

Terms and Conditions

1. The client who signifies his acceptance of a booking does so on behalf of himself and persons under his authority which means that all are bound by the booking conditions as if they had individually made the application themselves.  All bookings are made with Scubaversity International and no person has any authority on its behalf to vary any of the terms and conditions which are applicable.    

2. Payments are required within two working days of the invoice date.  Should a client elect not to pay within this time an amended invoice will be sent within four weeks of the departure date. The client fully understands that the price may increase due to foreign exchange fluctuations, airline rate increases or any other related cost and that the client will be responsible for the incremental costs

3. Where airline payments are required within 48 hours, deposits need to be received within 48 hours of receipt of the client's invoice to prevent airlines from cancelling seats. Should an airline cancel a clients seats due to non-payment within 48 hours, the client will be responsible for the difference in seat price, should Scubaversity International be unable to re-instate the booking on the original seat class.

4. The full amount due by the client to Scubaversity International shall be payable not less than four weeks prior to the date of departure.  If the full amount is not paid in due time, Scubaversity International reserves the right to treat the booking as cancelled.  Bookings made within four weeks of the departure date must be paid in full immediately.

5. Should the client amend his/her booking at any stage, either in the form of a date change, itinerary amendment or any other change whatsoever, Scubaversity International reserves the right to charge an amendment fee of R300 per person.
6. The following cancellation policy will apply:

If a booking is cancelled 4 weeks or less prior to travel Scubaversity International shall retain 25% of the full amount invoiced for accommodation, transfers and activities.

If a booking is cancelled between one week and three days of arrival Scubaversity International shall retain 50% of the full amount invoiced for accommodation, transfers and activities.

Cancellation within 24 hours or no show Scubaversity International shall retain 100% of the full amount invoiced for accommodation, transfers and activities

If airline tickets have been issued, a cancellation fee of 100% will be charged, regardless of date of cancellation         

7. Scubaversity International recommends cancellation insurance for bookings, and it is the client's responsibility to arrange cancellation insurance.  It is strongly recommended that clients also take out personal and baggage insurance. Scubaversity International or any person acting for, through or on behalf of Scubaversity International shall not be held responsible for any loss caused by delays, sickness, Acts of God, cancellation, curtailment, medical expenses, default, baggage, loss, injury or death.

8. The client acknowledges that the tour price and itinerary disclosed to him/her at the time of booking, or alternatively at the time that the contract was concluded, may be varied by Scubaversity International from time to time, without notice to the client, at the discretion of Scubaversity International and provided the itinerary is not substantially different from the itinerary that the client anticipated enjoying, the client shall not be entitled to cancel the contract.

9. Scubaversity International will endeavor to assist the client in regard to the facilitation of Zambian visa exemptions. Such assistance will however, be at Scubaversity International's discretion, the client acknowledges that in doing so, Scubaversity International are not assuming any obligation or liability and that nevertheless the responsibility of the client to ensure that the aforesaid documents are in order and the clients full name as it appears in the passport, passport number, nationality, date of issue and expiry are received by us no later than 3 working days before arrival in Zambia, remains the client's.

10. It is recorded that the contract may contemplate a tour/journey to an area (s) where the client may be exposed to danger and the client has agreed to execute a waiver of rights against Scubaversity International and others as an integral part of the contract.  The client (which shall be deemed to include the heirs, executors, administrators or assigns of the client) does hereby irrevocably waive and abandon all and whatsoever rights which the client may have against Scubaversity International, in consequence of any damage, injury or otherwise of whatsoever nature and howsoever arising which may be sustained directly or indirectly by the client in consequence of any act of omission or commission by Scubaversity International or other in consequence of the conclusion of the contract and the client undertaking the tour / journey/ activity contemplated in the contract.  In no way derogating from the foregoing, the client does hereby indemnify, hold harmless and absolve Scubaversity International or other, from all and whatsoever claims which may be tenable by the client as aforesaid, irrespective of the nature thereof and howsoever arising. 

11. It is recorded that the client will be required to sign an indemnity form before undertaking safaris or before undertaking activities.

 

12. The airlines, or other carriers concerned, are not to be held responsible for any accident, or omission or event during the time that the clients are not on board their aircraft or conveyance.  The passengers' contract in use by the airlines concerned, or by other carriers concerned when issued shall constitute the sole contract between the airlines and or carriers and the purchaser of these tours and or passengers.

 

13 Scubaversity International reserves the right to increase the tour fares due to any increase in airline tariffs, fuel costs, game reserve fees, or fluctuation of exchange rates if full payment has not been made by the client.

14. These terms constitute the entire terms of the relationship between the parties.  There exist no other terms and conditions regulating their relationship.  No amendment cancellation or waiver of any term or right referred to herein shall be valid or binding unless reduced to writing and signed by both parties.        


15. The client acknowledges that save and except for what has been stated herein, there exist no warranties, representations, guarantees, promises, undertaking or inducements of any nature whatsoever.  Any matter or things said by any person on behalf of Scubaversity International or purportedly on behalf of Scubaversity International, irrespective as to the position such person occupies, and which is not stated herein, shall not be binding on Scubaversity International irrespective as to the nature and extent of any such things, and the client acknowledges that he/she has not relied on any matter or thing stated on behalf of Scubaversity International that is not included herein.
